Rioja Joven Tempranillo

£9.67

Señorio de Uñuela is produced by the co-operative located in the village of Uruñuela in Rioja Alta. The higher altitude of the vineyards, which range from 450-590 metres, ensures finer, more elegant wines. Señorio is a medieval term meaning 'land of the lord', while Uñuela is the old name of the town. The co-op's 200 members have 600 hectares divided into 1500 plots, of which 95% is Tempranillo and the rest are Garnacha, Mazuelo, Graciano and some white varieties.

Vineyards
Fruit was harvested from vines planted at altitudes between 450 – 490m on the lower terraces of the vineyard. The light alluvial soils of the lower terraces create light, fruity wines with medium body and freshness – a typical characteristic of Riojas made from 100% Tempranillo.
